This first
book was based on a three-month course in practical
esoterism offered during 1987-1988 in New York City and
delineates the human energetic anatomy from the
standpoint of Inner Alchemy. Inner Alchemy is the
catalytic method which progressively triggers the
expansion of consciousness as intelligent awareness and
faculty within matter. It includes both the process of
expansion of light (consciousness) and evolution (matter
as grounding and refined flexibility), the result of the
applica¬tion of the Law of Light as personal self-discipline
and active (social) involvement in life. Life is seen as
the Great Teacher through our body, relationships and
creative fulfilment in the world.
The Law of Light is the essence of Inner Alchemy
principle and methodology, although the processes and
exercises draw upon many sources as technical guideline.
Creation, we observe, obeys patterns set by thought in
light models. As thought IS light, the alchemical or
creative impulse is predicated on proper and ethical
management of thinking. This naturally relates to the
correct administration of emotional and physical
activities.
This basic guide familiarizes the reader with the
terminology and purpose of this approach which will be
deepened in subsequent books and applied in the multiple
experiential workshops that explore the endless
possibilities of human expression. The language of this
book, differing from the following ones, reveals an
initial affiliation with Ascended Master precepts, which
does not, however, fail to embrace the transcendental
and practical implications of non-denominational truth.
Although there is a deep spiritual affinity with
Ascended Master concepts, Inner Alchemy is an original
and courageous attempt to link high spiritual practice
to earthly psychological pragmatism. Inner Alchemy is
transmutation, evoked and directed by the Child of the
Light onto the imperfections of his world, including his
own body and personality.
The book is divided into four parts. Part One describes
the subtle human energetic anatomy which includes the
basic ingredients of many new age practices: the seven
rays, the seven bodies, the chakras and lines of force
which underlie the process of individual (inner) alchemy.
Part Two outlines the human faculties or factors which
shape personality, focussing upon the power which each
person possesses to affect his environment and create
his reality. This section contains warnings against the
misuse of power and suggests protection methods as well
as a balanced perspective for meditation in the
alchemical sense.
Part Three deals with the supra-human level of
perception and introduces the concept of
multidimensionality as a possibility for anyone who
alignes his instrument properly. This section also
includes a description of the three kingdoms of Nature
contained within Man, and also mentions the possible use
of crystals as an alchemical device.
Part Four demonstrates the practical application of
alchemy in our lives, stressing esoteric hygiene and
protection, human relationships as an opportunity for
transcendence of suffering, death as the chance for
ultimate re-creation, dreamlife as a window for the
perception of altered vibrational states of reality, and
other aspects of Inner Alchemy present in conscious,
supra-conscious and subconscious levels of life.
At the end of each part and sub-segment the reader may
avail himself of the various practices provided to
ground the information and integrate knowledge within
the individual.
This book already in its 13th edition, is a manual for
self-transcendence and has become a bedside guide for
many.
