Zulma Reyo


Founder and Director of the School of Consciousness, the Centre for Inner Alchemy.
The programmes are based on the teachings of her books and include laboratory practice in consciousness, through individual and group exercise, retreat, meditation and sustained introspective awareness. The scope of this work reaches not only the individual and the group but the family structure as a unit, including adolescent guidance and instruction, work with children, artistic and musical development, and also business as personnel training in enterprise.
 


Lecturer and panelist, television and radio hostess in four languages: English, Spanish, French and Portuguese.
 

Graduate of New York University in Washington Square, New York, with a B.A. in Romance Languages and Literature, and an M.A. in Education. Post-Graduate studies in psychology and counselling from San Fernando Valley State College in San Fernando Valley, California.
 

A native of Puerto Rico in the Caribbean and a world traveller, including schooling and professional activity in the U.S.A., U.K., India, South America and Europe where she now resides.

1967-1970 - The Primal Institute of Los Angeles. Trainee under Dr. Arthur Janov, founder and director, author of The Primal Scream (Putnam, 1968).


1970-1973 - Private Primal Therapy practice in London, U.K..


1973-1982 - Lecturer, groupleader, trainer for ISABS and Tata Management Training Center in India. Private research into meditation and oriental philosophy.


1982-1987 - Private Practice, California and New York. Co-hostessing “Dimensions in Parapsychology” with Bryce Bond for New York City’s Manhattan Cable TV, a New York cable television programme consisting of dialogues with world-known researchers, writers, parapsychologists and artists in all fields of human endeavour. Onset of the Inner Alchemy School in New York.


1987-1994 - Lectures, seminars, conferences, workshops and training programs in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru and Paraguay. The founding and expansion of the Center for Inner Alchemy in São Paulo, Brazil.


1994-1999 - The expansion of the School of Consciousness into Europe with the publication of the Inner Alchemy books in European languages. Workshops, seminars and trainings. Conferences in international congresses.


1999 - The founding of the Inner Alchemy University of Consciousness in São Paulo, Brasil, with a training programme of two years in five disciplines : philosophy, the psychology of consciousness, human energetic systems, meditation, and human relations.


2000 - Consolidation of the work of Inner Alchemy in Europe.
